River Ring

Urban Resiliency & Affordable Housing

Help Expand Housing Opportunities and Public Investments in Our Neighborhood

River Ring responds to long-standing community plans and real-time community feedback by repurposing a former industrial site for much-needed housing and completing a continuous public waterfront in North Brooklyn.

The River Ring site, next to Domino Park in Williamsburg, will pursue mandatory inclusionary housing and include 263 permanent affordable housing units. Rents for 1-bedrooms will range from $717/month to $1,143/month and 2-bedrooms range from $854/month to $1,366/month. All of the low-income units are identical to the market-rate apartments and are permanent.

The plan is anchored by a first-of-its-kind protected public beach and in-water park that will also protect the inland community from flooding. And at a time when New York needs private investment, River Ring will deliver massive public infrastructure and economic benefits. Interested in learning more?
